The Mora Family

Over 100 years ago the Mora family came from Mexico to the United States bringing with them the warmth of their homeland and the love for their family's traditional recipes.

In 1980, Charlie & Liz opened on Niagara Street so that W.N.Y. could experience the family recipes that have been handed down through generations for more than a century.

As the years went on and after scores of articles and by word of mouth we continued to serve Mexican food "Aficionados".

In 1987 the business expanded to accommodate an ever expanding number of customers, and in 1994 Gramma Mora's launched their own frozen food specialties which can still be purchased today.

Gramma Mora's came to an abrupt end in July of 1996 when a fire gutted the restaurant leaving very little behind. The Gramma Mora's sign that hung proudly over the front of the Niagara Street location now crowns the front of our new Hertel location.

Gramma Mora's was reborn in time for the new millennium. We will continue to sacrifice our dedication to preparing food in the same old fashioned way with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and authenticity.

Our goals here at Gramma Mora's continue to reflect those aspirations of 100 years ago to serve our customers the finest Mexican Cuisine in a traditional family setting!
